Born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador, I started drawing portraits of my siblings when I was 8. I attended the Escuela de Bellas Artes of Guayaquil. In London, where I lived from 1980 to 1981, at Trafalgar Square, around the corner from the Tate Gallery, I saw a street portrait artist drawing side-view portraits and I must say that I learned a few tricks from him. I continued doing portraits in the malls in Guayaquil, and in Miami where my subjects where from all over the world; I once found in a shop in Miami a portrait I had drawn in Guayaquil. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a small world!

What I’m showing here is art from 1984 until recently when I became interested in digital art. I want to convey some mysterious quality to my art and hopefully transport viewers to a dimension that’s out of this world. My favorite styles are primitive art, fantasy art and also realism. Although I don’t have a lot of Photo Art, Photography is something I loved since I was 2, when I was ‘taking pictures’ with a hole in a paper. Anyway, expect to see more art and photo art in the future.
